These terms govern your use of the Scrapio website and marketplace. By registering or using Scrapio you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who can use Scrapio
Scrapio is a business-to-business platform. You must be at least 18 years old and represent a business, institution or government body with a valid GST registration, and you must have authority to act on its behalf.
2. Accounts and verification
- You must give accurate and complete registration details and keep them up to date.
- Accounts go live only after our team verifies them. We may ask for additional KYC documents and may decline any registration.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential.
3. Listings and bids
- Sellers must describe material, grade, quantity and location honestly and must have the legal right to sell it.
- Bids placed by buyers are binding offers once accepted by the seller.
- Final quantity and price are settled on actual weighment at pickup unless both parties agree otherwise in writing.
4. Prohibited material
You must not list or trade stolen goods, material you do not own, or hazardous, radioactive, biomedical or other regulated waste unless you and the counterparty hold every licence the law requires.
5. Fees and payments
Registration and listing are free for sellers. Any fees for buyers or enterprise customers are shown on our pricing section or agreed separately. Payments made through Scrapio are released to the seller once pickup and weighment are confirmed. Each party is responsible for its own taxes, including GST.
6. Our role
Scrapio provides the platform that brings sellers and buyers together. Unless stated otherwise, the contract for sale is between the seller and the buyer. We verify users in good faith but do not guarantee the quality of material or the performance of any user.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Scrapio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Scrapio for the transaction concerned.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, give false information or are involved in fraud. You can close your account at any time by contacting us.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
